So Pissed With Geek Squad

I mentioned in my previous post about how I haven't had my laptop back yet from when I had it sent for repairs. I'm not even joking that it's going to be 3 weeks now since I sent it. It was sent in for repairs on 9/13/2015. They hadn't even done anything with it until 9/25/15 when they finally decided to order the part they need in order to do the repairs even though we told them what was wrong and what they needed to fix when we first gave it to them. The receipt they gave us estimated that the repairs would be done by 9/30/15. They still haven't even received the freaking part they ordered yet! I check the repair status daily! Honestly geek squad will get nothing but crappy reviews from me.

The main problem is that these people can often get away with providing such terrible service because many people depend on their services and will still return despite previous issues. I usually sort out my own computer problems, whether software or hardware based, which is just as well because I would not have the patience to deal with such people.

It is what I do with my desktop, but trying to repair a hardware problem in a laptop is often very difficult, and there are times where you need a professional.

@topffer I have to agree, access to a laptop is not quite so simple and many models vary widely.

I cannot believe it. How is it that they did not even order the part needed to fix the problem?
