Two students started this moving business and wanted to help to stop domestic violence. Meathead Movers regularly organizes benefit events for local charities; organizes supply drives for disaster victims; and partners with local law enforcement to move victims of domestic violence free of charge. They have asked other businesses to pledge to help and so far have 52 businesses. They would like to have at least 100 businesses and are getting the word out even more now. After receiving international praise for its work, Meathead Movers was inspired to get other businesses involved. They have hairdressers willing to help a woman before going out on an interview, people are donating clothing and food. So many are doing what they can.

That is a super idea that the company Meathead had to ask other businesses to join in the fight of domestic violence.

@Marcyaz That's fantastic because we all know someone, whether directly or indirectly, who's been a victim of domestic violence.

I love the name of the moving company. Meathead. How awesome. It brings me back to the All in the Family TV show days. See, these small businesses do much more for the people than all the big corporations combined. That's why we not only need to support the small business in this country, but we need more of them and less big wasteful companies.

How true and i see what you mean about All in the Family TV show days. Yeah he was always called the son in-law meathead. Seems like the small companies do more for the ones who need them then the bigger corporations.

@Marcyaz I know you would like that one. I had to write that. And yes, these small companies, with lots less money, do way more than those billion dollar companies.

Please to hear that today's generation is very sensible and practical too. Sometimes we only keep thinking what can we do? and end up with doing nothing. This is very sweet gestures hats off

@Lushlala Giving back is a good way to show how you feel. Perhaps they know someone who was being abused.

Yes we do and to think that students started this business and it has grown in leaps and bounds because it is not all about profit it is about helping others in need.

sounds a good worthy cause though ironically it is the people causing domestic violence who might normally be called meatheads rather than those out to stop them.

Oh wow, what an admirable pair! I hope they get as much support as they can get in order to keep this going. I've always said if I had a lot of money, one of the causes I'd want to get involved with is victims of spousal abuse. NOTE: I'm not distinguishing between male or female victims, because to me they both exist. ....and it's can even be potentially more dangerous when it's men on the receiving end because they don't often talk about it, because society doesn't always see men as victims :(
