Have you heard Dunkin Donuts is closing 100 of its Franchise stores and no indication of which ones will be closed.
It is happening because fewer people are coming to certain stores.
They are taking steps to improve its menu offerings in order to boost sales.
The company will try new products like a Pumpkin Macchiato and Maple Bacon Square Donut.
The company and its many franchises are also "anxious" about minimum wage hikes that are set to go into effect across the country.
Another problem is there is an intense battle for coffee and breakfast lovers.
\Who do you think will win this battle?

I love this place and it has been open for so many years but the new kids are going to places that attract their attention instead of being loyal to one place like i do.

I've been to Starbucks and have had their coffee which was really good and get this as small a town as this is their is a McDonalds and whenever you go by it is so crowded. For some reason this do a good business.

We use to have a dunkin donuts near us and it was a horrible store. The donuts never seemed to be fresh, the store was always dirty and the employees were not even mediocre. They closed this shop a few years ago. I have no idea how it lasted as long as it did.

I ate at a Krispy Kreme when the store first opened in or near Midwest City, Ok and the donut was delicious.

@Marcyaz When the store first opened it was nice and I loved their donuts but the first owner sold it and the second owner really let it go down hill.
The good thing is that we have a wonderful Krispy Kreme donut store in Fayetteville. That place smells heavenly!!

I hope the one in my town doesn't close their always busy and make good money. I go there every day as we don't have a star bucks or anything. It is sad to see all these places go because of sale drops.

I have seen Dunkin Donuts all over the world. I love them, but there are a lot of less expensive choices.

It does seem that lately certain stores even by me have not been getting the traffic they used to get. There is even one Dunkin Donuts that actually is in the same building with Baskin Robins ice cream. So they do need to maybe step up their game.

I hope the Chain does not go under because I like it. I have said for years that the town I live in needs a Dunkin Donuts. I am convinced it would go over well in my town.

I think there is now just to much competition and no matter what they do a lot of people are eating healthier and that means no donuts so in that case they can't even offer a blend of coffee that is the most popular. I think in any event they won't be around to much longer in any of their stores.

I am not aware that there are any dunkin donuts in the uk there probably are. I Just checked it out there are a few stores here but not that many most are around London.
I think I went in one once in the USA. You would think with a name like dunkin donuts that would be all they would sell but it seems they sell other things too!...What would I know! LOL

We do not have a Dunkin' Donuts, anywhere close to where I live.Nearest one is 150 miles away. I used to frequent their stores all of the time when I lived in the city, over 30 years ago. Most grocery stores have bakeries now and they are 35 miles away.We had a bakery for a couple of years, but it went out of business due to lack of clientele.

So many are now into healthy eating that it doesn't bode well for bakeries or places like DD except for the coffee aspect. We don't have any near us either now that we are out in the country in this small town, the only place to buy anything like a donut would be in the small grocery store. So many places are going out of business.

That's why we don't go there. The location is bad for us. I wish I could try it sometime.

it is still a very popular chain in my country.
I cannot understand why people buy such useless food.
They are basically selling sugar, and flour that look nice, but not much value to the consumers.
i think they are better off stuffing something in the doughnut so that it can be a filling and nutritious food.

Here in the Philippines, customers still love dd. They still have a lot of customers and fans. I'm not sure in other places though.

I am not even sure if that chain is near me. We have been there in years past when traveling.

The only Dunkin Donuts stores that are closing are located in one type of gas station. It seems this was a bad match for them. It is a tiny part of their business.
