You Have Been Selected. Really?

I think I've just had my first experience of the full window ads that some have written about here. One , no two related ones, have just popped up uninvited and unannounced, both for the new iPhone 6S or something. The first was that I was selected to be one of three winners for a free one. Really? Who do they rake me for. I was naïve when I first came online many years ago, but not now. It looked very tempting, so I wonder how many people were drawn in by that one The second one popped up only seconds later, headed how to get a new iPhone in New Zealand for $1. But they picked the wrong person to waste their advertising on this time. I'm not giving away any of my details, including my e-mail address, to anyone. So as nice as a new phone may be, I'll wait until I can afford to pay for one thank you. I don't need offers to entice me if I want to buy something. I'd rather be selected for reasons other than advertising. What about you. Have you been selected for free advertising gimmicks lately?

My timing s impeccable because I often manage to be the 1000th visitor to a site and qualify for a prize. You would expect that nobody would be unaware of this feeble scam by now, although there have to be many people who still on them or they would have ceased a long time ago.

DAILY - they are so annoying - I have learnt a new phrase - "I have one already" which is a total lie, but gets them off my back.

I have tried saying that myself, but the computer does not listen and the adverts keep popping up again.

This one is persistent. It has appeared again. Your response is a good one. On the phone I am very rude, as soon as they start I say not interested thank you and hang up.

I do not even look in that direction leave alone wanting to know what they are all about. In the beginning when I was new to all this I almost thought I could be the richest

So far I'm staying patient and finding it amusing. That feeling may not last!

Today is the first time I've seen them and they do seem to be only on my tablet, not the computer, at this stage.

Yes. A lot of them. And I find them stupid. I wonder how people believe these shams at the first place.

I've had that one too, they are so annoying. Have you got something on the left side of your screen that says Download, Install? That's new to me.

It is surprising that people must still fall for it though.
