Do your pets bring you joy?

Many ask me why I have my animals, and I spend most of my money on them even if I don't have money I still keep them.
They all have their own personality and bring me joy. I know through hard times I wouldn't be the same dealing with the situation without them. I couldn't imagine not having them around, and just being there to hug.
I have found lately a lot of friends are not around to even talk let alone give me support. Sad really, so my rabbits, and cats are there just to hang out, watch movies, and cuddle.

Ricki, there's never been any question of why you have so many animals for me. It's obvious from the way that you talk about them that they bring you joy, and that's been consistent from all of the years I've been reading your discussions about them here on myLot. You love your pets and you're extremely dedicated to making sure they're well cared for. And that's true even when it comes to the pets you care for at the shelter, or relatives' pets that aren't being cared for as well as they probably should be cared for.
I think the people who don't get it have probably never had that sort of relationship with a pet.

Being with animals is a kind of therapy that many hospitals recommend to patients for their fast recovery. I truly believe that pets do bring joy and we have always had pets.

Of course my dog brings me joy, I don't know who a pet couldn't.
