Are all the light bulbs in your house the same size?

When we renovated our apartment years ago, we did not have the sense to standardize the light bulbs. As a result, we have to buy and keep several bulbs in case we need it. We have big size bulbs and small size bulbs, and we have round light as well. On hindsight, it is plain stupid. We should have use light bulbs of the same size, so that we just have to store one type of bulbs.

I have 2 different types because my house has some bayonet fitting and a couple of screw fitting.

2 different types of light bulbs are still ok. I think when you renovate your house in the future, you can choose different light fixtures, but make sure all the light bulbs are the same. There is no point keeping different kind of light bulbs.

@scheng1 The fittings are okay as they are because the screw fittings are for spotlight bulbs.

Next time when I get a chance to move into a new house again, I will make sure that all the light bulbs are the same size. It is terribly annoying to find that you run out of a particular kind of light bulb, and yet have too many of other kinds.

Yeah my friend. You must be smart at that time. But as you know different types of bulbs have different uses. Some are to fashion our home, whereas some gives heavy light and some are energy savers.. So i won't say that you are not smart. You are smarter. Have a great day

If we move to new house, i will use all the same bulbs. I can use different designs of lighting fixtures, so that the house looks classy, but I will make sure that the bulbs are all energy saving bulbs of the same size. This will make it easier to buy in bulk and store up.

Gosh no. We use low wattage bulbs where we don't need a lot of light, dimmable bulbs where the need varies and so on. Eventually we'll switch to all LED.
