The result of National Achievement Test is so frustrating. 6 months of review is nothing. The Grade 6 and grade 3 never give good result. It was a time of frustration. All teachers were wondering the reason why they failed.
The principal really like to find the reason so he talked to the students of Grade 3 and Grade 6. He found out that most of the students didn't read the test questions and the stories there. They just choose the answer between A, B,C, and D.
What do you think the reason why the kids lost their enthusiasm in reading their test question? Is it the way test constructed?
I remember when I was in Elementary. My test composed of filling the blanks. It makes me memorized words. Then we had the enumeration and essay. But nowadays, no more. Every test the students are taking are all composed of multiple choice. They have no interest too if they can get good result or what. I think for them, test is nothing but just giving a letter answer.
Long gone the time that students like to give news to their parents on how they do in the test. I miss that time.
