Have You Ever Flirted With a Stranger?

I've never flirted with people I don't know but many people in bars do this, right?
Anyway, this came to mind because I remembered last month I saw a handsome guy at the clinic I went to take my medical exam. I sat on one of the 2nd row chairs at the side while waiting to be called. Then he came in with another guy, somehow my mind assumed he's probably gay? 
There were lots of empty space/chairs to sit on. He sat in front of me so I got a glimpse of the other guy he was with until he was told to go upstairs. When I was told to go up the second floor of the clinic, I saw him looking at me from time to time. 
I felt like I should have smiled or even said hi but he's a stranger so I didn't bother. 
Some part of me says it might be wasted serendipity, another part of me doesn't really care and no I'm not a snob at all. 
Would you have smiled and/or talked to the attractive guy/girl if it were you and you were single?

I think i won't flirt with a stranger specially nowadays when there are a lot of people in disguise of being kind but they were after all swindlers or whatever !

I know right? It's kind of scary when you think about it. But we're all mostly strangers to one another so who knows?

@owstalaga There should always be a room for doubt when the first meeting happens though because you haven't come face to face with the person ever yet .

Me too! Even if he's looking at me. Unless maybe if he talks to me? But I still don't think so... Depends on the situation.

I agree with Anna . Smiling at someone in that situation isn't the same as flirting. I probably would have at least smiled .
