Yes I said it, I am a pack rat. Who is a pack rat? A pack rat is rodent who hoards food but also refers to a person who collects or hoards things. I am not a hoarder but I collect things, lots of things. I am becoming better though but but I still collect things. I collect wood carvings, pottery, salt and pepper shakers, barbie dolls, paintings, books, fabric (well I sew so that is ok), and anything that is cute and different or vintage I do sell some of my collections but mostly I like to keep them If I run out of storage then I have no problem getting rid of stuff. Are there any pack rats out there? If so, what do you collect?

Nah, I really do mean junk @Freelanzer I'm puttin all the old pot lids I can't match with a pot in a box to give to the Ft Bliss YWCA.

i'm married to one 'n he cabbages onto ('n won't turn loose'f) most e'erythin'. drives me insane 't times. i've 3 garages (2 o'ersized), 2 big barns, 3 small barns, 2 enclosed horse trailers jest filled with his "treasures". 'n then there's the piles 'f 'schtuff' 'long the driveway. i'm glad'ja 't least seem to've a bit 'f organization with yer collections?? fer myself, i tend to collect critters

The more space you have the more stuff you find to fill it with, if I had your barns and garages I bit I too could fill them up. I don't even have a garage so I need to curb my enthusiasm

@Freelanzer schtuff got outta hand with the hubs when i fell quite ill a few years back. prior to that i'd a hay barn, horse barn, tack barn 'n 't least 2 outta the 3 garages. thankfully i've been able to keep my foot down in regards to what he brings indoors.

I am not much of a collector as I feel that stuff will weigh on me not knowing what to do with it as time moves on. They can clutter the place.

From time to time I unload some that I may have fallen out of love with and since I also like my space I am not at the point where there is clutter. What I have I enjoy others I pack away. So one can be a collector without being a hoarder.

I'm not a pack rat, but I sdo have problems with clutter. Mine is from needing to keep things for taxes and such as we have a small business. In fact I was going to be working on it this weekend, and here I am instead. Shame on me!!

I am a little different in that while I like to collect thinks I don't like clutter so as soon as it gets to be where I have no place to store it I get rid of something else.

@Freelanzer Most of my clutter is business papers and cleaning supplies. I'm not a hoarder. I go through my clothes and other unused things; just can't throw away what the gov't may want to see one day.

I am a pack rat as well. I am especially paper intensive. Since I am a travel writer I save brochures, notes, pictures, menus. I have containers full of them. I really need to get rid of them but is hard to decided what is junk and what still has value.

I am a pack rat too. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I collect books, magazines, comic books, newspapers, things I really should not want but I can't part with them :(

It is so difficult to part with them once you have them. I collect a lot of books as well
