We just done mending a drawer .Yes it was lying pending since a month .The sliding strip was out of order due to massive burdoned. My daughter kept on putting weighful books and toys and in the end the sliding part got broken.Today my hubby brought that drawer sliding and we decided to mend it out. It's really a difficult task .I really salute carpenter's for their effortful proffession .Do you mend something by own?

Yes, I am good in fixing things around the house. My grandfather was a carpenter, I liked to watch him working with the wood.

I am horrid at fixing stuff. I applaud your abilities. I leave tons of stuff for my husband to work on. My main 'fixing' is removing dust layers from old furniture.

I do try to fix things around the house by myself, although there are some times when I need to have a professional to help me.

My dad tries mending but does a bad job of it. I can't tell him because he will feel bad. So we have a shaky dining table, shaky stool ..I could go on, but you don't wanna know. lol

Happily I do not have to mend furniture or drawers or other things related to skills most suited to men. I do mend clothes sometimes or objects that just require some glue.

I'm not great at it either. We try to fix things, but not always successfully.
