I just went into my messages where I found a message that read "Attn Dear Please accept my apology if it does embarrass you. However, it’s my urgent need for a foreign partner that made me to contact you. I need your ass", which got my immediate attention. I opened it in order to tell this person exactly what I thought of them. That's when I saw the entire message that myLot had truncated in the preview blurb and had to laugh. No - no one wanted my 'ass'. They wanted my MONEY!! It was a Nigerian scam posted by a 'Lot member (who I hope has been removed by now - I'll have to see) who hoped to find someone foolish enough to buy into their lies. Here's the entire thing (including misspellings): Attn Dear Please accept my apology if it does embarrass you. However, it’s my urgent need for a foreign partner that made me to contact you. I need your assistance to represent my late client who died on a ghastly motor ascendant Mr.R.Jackson. His fund valued at $19.8 million dollars that bank want to confiscate, you came from the same country with him, and he is also a national of your country. And the banking ethics here does not allow such money to stay more than seven years, soon the money will be recalled to the bad government pocket treasury as unclaimed fund, Please send to me the bellow listed information's, it help me to file a letter of application to the bank on your behalf for the transfer of the money to your country, please work with me to achieve success for both of us. I will need latter of invitation from you to fly up to your country as soon as the transfer is over to receive my own share of the fund for further investments on your advice. Your full name........................... Your age........................................ Your marital status....................... Your telephone numbers............... Occupations................................... Your private email adress..................................... Please send your information in my private email address for more details , ( tchaoborombozou@gmail.com ) Happy to see a good business relationship with you hoping that this business would afford us to know ourselves and bring us together as a family friend in time to come. Awaiting your response. Best regards, Yours Sincerely, Mr .Tchao Borombozou , Your principal partner, 5 Aug 2013 Obviously, since I'm just getting back on to this site, he got no reply from me. But, has anyone else ever received anything from this same person or any other name making the same request? Really - what are my occupations? My age? My marital status? Sir - you can stick your attempt to scam me and others as far up your keyster as is possible and maybe a little beyond.

It's the same as the signature name with no space in between. @TchaoBorombozou. He's been a member for two years, but has posted nothing at all. Not even comments.

What in tarnation is a "ghastly motor ascendant?" I think several here have received similar messages. Let @GoAskAlice know, and he'll take care of it.

LMAO! Like I said - misspellings were included. GoAskAlice reponded. I was surprised to see that. I already blocked the sucker.

@jerzgirl Alex has been pretty visible on the site lately. He's the same moderator we had way back when, too, which is pretty cool. @myLotBugs Here's another example of the word filter being weird. It'll allow the actual word if there's punctuation around it, but legitimate phrases like 'class. clown' are censored for containing bad words.

I can only assume that a "ghastly motor ascendant" is some kind of mechanical supernatural elevator, possibly used in mediaeval Mystery plays to represent the Rising Christ. Having conjured up that image, I'm somewhat disappointed to realise that the real answer is a simple prosaic transposition of the 's' and the 'c'.

I like private messages because we can communicate with someone we're not connected to anywhere else without going public with private conversations.

They don't even try to be creative in this scam. That same formula has been used and warned about for years.
