I have been away for a few days and I was worried about my plants ( a little more than hundred ) about twenty five huge plants were on my terrace. I am happy to report that with your help ( tips and tricks) they are doing fine.. at least most of them.. Some sunflowers and a gourd will have to struggle a bit but I guess except for two the others will be fine. Thanks every one for chipping in when my supposed man Friday deserted me.

@jessicalynnt Thank you.. well yes the sunflowers are hardy but on the terrace they are hit directly by the scorching sun.. Yeah they are pretty and my bird eats the seeds.. this is the smaller Japanese variety.

@sofssu Can you do something to shield it from the sun for part of the day? Course you wouldn't want the wind to blow over your shield/umbrella or whatever it might be either as that wouldn't be good at all.

Hello and welcome back. 100 plants? Wow. Well, it seems like for the most part things did good. You will just have to baby the ones that didn't do so good, and hope for the best.

@TexanTornado Thank you. They seem to be happy after all the TLC I gave them.. But their test might come a wee b it sooner than I thought.. I may have to leave them again.. but of course they get special treatment .. this time around.

@gudheart It was a relief for me to see them all in good shape. One of the two plants which wasn';t too good seems to be doing much better.. now its just one.

glad they made it through fer the most part. i'd not fret the sunflower nor the gourd 's they should recover quite quickly with a lil tlc.

@crazyhorseladycx The wick worked quite well with some plants. The gourd seems to be recovering, its the sunflower.. but I guess some TLC will see it through.

@sofssu got'cha some compost tea? 'r epsom salts? ya might wanna give the sunflower a dose 'f either - not both. either spray a weakened solution o'er the foliage 'r add it to its water.

@else34 I have them in the balcony and on the terrace. I use every space available for plants. I have around thirty plants inside the house.

Glad that the plants made it. Twenty plants are a large investment. It's good that they survived.

Plants are sturdy little things. They can last with occasional neglect. Mine have proved that
