physical thing that scares me

One major item on my I am scared! of it is electrical fencing. I now live out in the country. I can see how this kind of control would really help keep an animal like a pig inside and not running down the road, in danger of getting hit by a truck. And yet I don't want to be the one who manages the system. I don't want to be that close to so much power. I really do not want the chance of getting zapped. Anyone else besides me afraid of electrical fences?

Yes an electrical line that makes a horse stay away from it is frightening to me.

I have never been near an electrical fence before.So I do not know if I would be scared of it or not.

Just think of being zapped by a good sized volt then decide if you want to be in charge of that.

Nope, not at all. I've been zapped more than a few times, and I have to say accidentally zapping yourself on a household outlet is probably worse. I don't think the current in the fence is quite as strong--you know it's there when you hit it, but it doesn't give you more than a minute of tingling after, if that. Now, the ones in Jurassic Park... I wouldn't touch those with a 10-foot rubber pole.
