make-up produces wrinkles?

my boyfriend has been telling me about how I should give up on make-up because is giving me wrinkles. I don't know what to think: could that be true? is make-up actually causing wrinkles

I think it's very unlikely but maybe you should pick up on what he means (but isn't saying). He thinks you look better with less make-up.

yes he definitely thinks I look better without make-up but I wouldn't feel comfortable to go to work like that
