There is a saying that first impression is always right.
I agree with this saying.
However, I must say that the first conscious impression is always wrong, but the first subconscious impression is always right.
The first subconscious impression always throw out very weird conclusion.
If you see a stranger for a second, and the first thing you think of is "English grammar teacher", that is the subconscious at work.
There must be something that reminds you of English grammar teacher, but you have no time to ponder about it as the stranger may smile, stretch out his hand, and introduces himself.
From that moment on, you judgement is clouded by your conscious impression.
This is no longer the first impression.
This later impression will overwrite your subconscious impression.
The later impression based on looks is wrong, but the first one is definitely right.
Some people learn to trust their first impression which warns them not to trust a particular doctor or lawyer or banker or colleague.
The feeling is strong, and they learn to trust this feeling.

Sometimes it's true and sometimes not. She may look pretty for you from the outside but inside she's not pretty at all when you talk to her. On the other hand, she might be not so attractive but when you talk to her she is a wonderful human being with lots of love and care for all. So I don't really think all first impression is last and for me it seldom is lasting. You have to now the person before ever you judge her

The first impression by subconscious is before you take in the physical, such as looks, smiles etc.
The kind of feeling you get when you meet a new person, before you really have a good look at the face, clothing etc.
The kind of warm feeling or alert feeling or bad feeling that you get is the real first impression.

First impression is always correct.
Sometimes you know that the job interview is over before it has started. Your first impression tells you a lot about the manager and company culture.
It is better not to take up the job when your first impression warns you about it.
