Which projects should NASA fund next?

NASA (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has outlined five potential projects that could be chosen as the next big adventure as part of their "Discovery" programme. Money has been allocated to allow each project to develop its concept. The five projects that have received $3 million development grants are: DAVINCI - a Venus probe to analyse the chemical composition of the planet's atmosphere. VERITAS - also a Venus mission, but with the aim of producing high resolution surface maps. Psyche - to visit a large asteroid composed of nickel and iron, just like Earth's core. Lucy - to visit the Trojan asteroids of Jupiter, which orbit either side of the planet. NEOCam - a space telescope that would be stationed near Earth and focus on asteroids. NASA will choose one or maybe two of these projects and allocate $500 million to them from next September. If you had a say in the matter, which mission would you want to support?

I hope they stop checking out what is outside of us and instead divert the funds to people in poverty. Does my answer makes sense? haha!

That's not what NASA does - you could the same about any organisation that spends money on anything.

@indexer I know. But they spend a lot. Don't you think? :(

I think the next project has to be of terraforming or creating artificial environment. that way they can have more people working for them to migrate to mars some day.

That's not on the list! I think that would be a long way in the future, because they would need to solve many problems before it would be possible to get people to Mars.
