Pork chops for dinner

I have been thinking about pork chops for days. I was sure I had a packet of Southern Gravy mix in the pantry and just imagined having pan fried chops with country cream gravy. Well, I found the package of chops in the freezer and thawed them and, when I went to cook them today, discovered I didn't have the gravy mix I thought I had (or I hid it really well). I like it because it's only a dollar and makes three big cups of gravy and I don't have to use milk. But, alas, I had just bought milk on Friday, so that was what I used. The flavor of my gravy isn't as good as that package, but I still thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I also made stuffing to go with, but no vegetables (because I didn't feel like dirtying anything else). The pork chops were boneless and were cooked without breading - just Adobo seasoning, salt and some cracked black pepper. The gravy was made from the drippings and some Bisquick (because I haven't bought flour in a while) to make the roux and then pouring enough milk in to get all the good color and flavor off the bottom of the pan and make plenty of gravy. I cooked up seven and a half chops (one half was sacrificed due to freezer burn) and there are two left. I had one and a half and my daughter and her bf each had two. The remaining two will probably go with her for lunch to work tomorrow. They really were good and not at all dry. What did you have for dinner?

I didn't really have anything for dinner last night. I had frozen pizza for lunch and I was still full so I just snacked a little.

I mentioned that my daughter had two pork chops and stuffing. She told me on the way to work this morning that she was still hungry, so she sent her boyfriend out to get more food. She ended up with a hot turkey bowl (turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce) at around midnight. Meanwhile, I was snoring. LOL Then she forgot the pork chops for lunch.

Can you describe pork nilaga? I've had a Singapore noodle dish that I enjoyed greatly, but I believe it was chicken.

@jerzgirl That is a Filipino cuisine. You can check in here.
Nilagang Baboy or Pork Nilaga is translated as boiled pork in Filipino. This is a soup dish commonly served for lunch or dinner on regular days. This is eaten with steamed white rice and is best served with patis (fish sauce) and siling labuyo (birds eye c

@wiLLmaH It looks pretty good. Easy but tasty. Can you use chicken or is it only ever made with pork? And, are Paba bananas the same as plantain bananas - the ones that have to be cooked?
