Left Name in Guestbook Before Gallery Theft

It is always nice to be helpful to the cops, especially when they are trying to solve a crime. But it is usually not expected when you are the perp!
Authorities say a man and woman left the woman's name and telephone number in the guestbook of a South Florida art gallery before stealing about $6,000 worth of jewelry.

Now those are what you would call Dumb Crooks, who leaves their name in a sign in book if you are going to rob the place.

When I lived in Germany, there was a stupid young man who robbed a bank. He put the stick up note on the back of his deposit slip!
