I blocked it and I liked it

I really never thought I would ever have to use the "Block" feature but I had to. I have been writing online for almost a decade now and never needed to use it but I had to. This person was a bully in every sense of the word, inappropriate, insulting, abusive and rude. I reported, I blocked and it sure felt good. I am too old to be bullied and I hope "it" is banned. I just read about someone who had to leave Mylot because they were insulted. I would like to say that no one should accept bullying behavior, report it! The only one who should have to leave is the bully. We don't need that on this site. Good riddance!

I have also experienced bullying so I stayed away from interacting online for a while .. I agree with you that it is the bully that should leave ..

I encourage everyone to report bullying behavior here so we can have a safe place to interact

Well, it certainly sounds as though this person needs to be blocked. I'm unaware of any bullying or abuse so far on myLot, and I hope things can stay that way. I'd hate it, though, if we got to the stage where some topics couldn't be discussed openly and reasonably for fear of upsetting a few folks.

People are free to discuss whatever they want. If I don't,t like it then I don't,t have to read it. However, I draw the line at personal attacks and for that I make no excuse.

It is a shame when people gt bullied online and the block mechanism helps to stop that.

I am glad I have a voice and I am kind of an online veteran so very little gets by me

You did the right thing. Some people are like that... they say things purposely to hurt other people and they feel good about it. Those people shouldn't be tolerated. They should be the ones leaving mylot, not the people that they're hurting.

It goes to one's moral compass some have, some don't and even though I can deal with all sorts of people and even stupid comments, there are areas where I draw the line

I might have been looking at the wrong thread but if this was about the use of U and Z in English English, I think you may have misinterpreted the commenter and blocked someone who wasn't being a bully at all. BUT as I say, I might have been on the wrong thread.

To tell you the truth the person is not a friend as I can't even remember the person's name and I am happy that I have forgotten it already. And in many cases I wouldn't block but just ignore them until they get the message that I don't want to be their friend.
