easier to pick up or train?

A month or so ago the neighbor's pooch got loose. The pooch acts young and foolish. It happily ran toward our other neighbor's dairy cows. How did the neighbors get their pup back? They corralled it and did their best to carry the lunk head home.
Today the now larger pup got loose again. I saw the lady doing her best to carry the dog back into its kennel- the dog must weigh in over fifty lanky pounds. Cute dog but up to mischief.
The photo here is our Leah. She is on stand! command. She knows to come when called. Imagine me with my bad back attempting to carry her anywhere cause she did not know to mind? Oh horrors for me. Lady neighbor: past time to work with your dog!

@sallypup Being a lab owner (twice) a lab won't hurt you, maybe kiss your face but that's about it!

Are there leash laws where you live? Even in the country we have them.

Yes animals need to be trained for sure..some it just comes natural.
No way would I be able to lift that dog lolz

Yes. I've seen kids playing right outside the kennel while the dog was inside the kennel. Shameful is what I think.
