My eldest daughter Sophie is the most curious human being I have ever met and that include me, if I am honest I am pretty bad lol.
This got me thinking is being so curious a blessing or a curse?
On one hand it's great to be inquisitive, it helps you learn and grow as a person. Just accepting things for what they are is no use at all in my book as you miss so many opportunities to grow as a person.
However constantly asking questions drives everyone around you completely mad! With Sophie we can answer a question in a way that would satisfy most people, but she just keeps on trying to understand in Greater depth!
So what do you guys think, is curiosity a blessing or a curse?

Oh, definitely a blessing. It may have killed a cat or two but curiosity is what leads to inspiration, independence, and a deep respect for learning.

@troyburns it certainly does lead to personal growth, but us there a point where one becomes far to curious? Personally I am not sure, I am a very curious person and at times I know it gets on people nerves but it certainly helps me learn.

@mrtoffee - I can see how being inquisitive might get on other folks' nerves, so its important for curious people (if you know what I mean) to have well developed problem-solving and research skills. It's no good just relying on other people to answer your questions, you need to find your own answers. (You'd never guess I'm an ex-teacher, would you?)

@troyburns you are so right, being inquisitive is one thing but you need to develop it into a skill that helps solve issues. Sophie is quite god at this, she is certainly growing as a person :-)
