Volkswagen Moons the U.S. Public Again!

Volkswagen got it’s rear end caught in the grinder a couple of months ago when it was discovered they had installed software in their diesel cars to beat the U.S. emissions test. Volkswagen led the U.S. to believe it was only in cars with four-cylinder diesel engines. Now it is discovered Volkswagen moons the U.S. public again! A real road emissions test found that Volkswagen’s diesel six-cylinder cars have software installed to beat the standard emissions test. Volkswagen claims there was no such software install in their six-cylinder diesel engines. But who will believe Volkswagen now? An investigation has been started. Would you buy a Volkswagen diesel (or any Volkswagen) after learning about Volkswagen’s sneaky trickery?

VWs are never at the top of my list, so I wouldn't buy a VW anyway. But now that they've tried to pull a fast one more than just once - well, I'd say they're even lower on the list. If they are denying it, then what is their explanation for what was found?

It was never a choice of mine so this wouldn't change anything

I think it's a bit odd that the US is up in arms about this when so many drivers over there don't show any sign of giving a hoot about their personal impact on the environment. What VW did was seriously and criminally out of order, but it's like getting upset that there was a trace of meat in the vegetarian gravy that's served with your steak.

I love the title. Quite catchy. I've always been suspicious on what car companies report as truth.
