'Spooky action at a distance' or spukhafte Fernwirkung' is a quote from Albert Einstein, when trying to come to grips with, Quantum Entanglement. Great Physicist, though he was,he really disliked, some of the weirder implications, of the Quantum world. (In quantum mechanics, a particle can be described as a wave that spreads out over a great distance, yet the particle is still just one particle.) Griffith University's Howard Wiseman and colleagues, has for the first time demonstrated Albert Einstein's original conception of "spooky action at a distance" using a single particle. Almost 90 years later, by splitting a single photon between two laboratories, scientists have now shown, that the result that bothered Einstein, causing him to make that, now famous statement, was actually right, even if Einstein thought it couldn't happen.... which was wrong! Science does often take a long while to play catch-up, with early, often debunked theories!

Einstein was right almost of the time. I love his famous quote: "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."
