Finally, Faces To Go With Names

I really hate being on sites where the owners haven't the courage to show their faces. I mean they did develop their site to entice us to join so they could make money. Well, so far only 2 faces have been shown to most of us from bubs but looky here, it's the whole crew plus all their names. I got the screen shot from a facebook page where so many pictures remain showing off their new found riches. Of course, one was already rich to begin with as his papa is a lawyer.

Is it really necessary who runs the show as long as the show is run well?

@rebelann I still feel, if at all, I will be just as eager to see who runs any site not just this one.

Had they been honorable I would not have been so curious, but like so many of us we feel cheated and this picture only makes me feel like they intentionally dumped on us.

That picture actually looks familiar, but I cannot be certain that I have seen it before.

@rebelann It w2as certainly not either of those sources, but I am certain that I have encountered it somewhere. I am actually wondering if it was some media site that was running an article about the website.

It is a screen shot from a picture on jasons facebook page, perhaps that's where you've seen it or maybe you've been to the sweeble site, they were all over that one.

I did see it once when I searched sweeble @Asylum but there were lots of photos there showing these guys partying with all kinds of girls and celebs.

Well, I know (and perhaps you do, too) what the hand sign they are all making means in England (and, I believe, in America, too, though the middle finger extended is also used). It's as good as saying "F*** you!" or "Up yours!". Coupled with the name in the background, of course, it may be a direct and exceedingly offensive message to the lady who invented the name and still owns it but it certainly does not endear me to that bunch of clowns ... and now that I shall know any of them I may happen to meet in the street, I know exactly what I would do!

@jaboUK It was used by the Allied Troops in WWII to mean 'Victory', but nearly always with the palm outwards. Eisenhower used it this way (and Nixon copied Eisenhower) It was also adopted by 'hippies' in the '60s to mean 'peace' (originally 'end to war') - again, usually with the palm outwards. Wikipedia has an interesting article here:
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search For the V sign of dermatomyositis, see Shawl sign. An investigator flashes V-for-victory signs upon the 2006 arrival of material gathered by the Stardust spacecraft at the Johnson Space Cent

Umm, the two finger sign most of them are showing actually meant peace back in the 60s and 70s but that one with the mid finger meant something entirely different and wasn't nice at all. Do you recall US President Nixon?

@rebelann I was going to say the same as you - I thought that gesture meant peace in this context. I know that it can also meam ''up yours'', but I really don't read that in this photo.

some of them are new to me. we've seen mike, arvind, jason, bear, tyler, kevin, briggs, darren and some ladies before because there used to be an about us page and they used to have their own profiles and even had ama (ask me anything) posts, so it's their disappearance that makes you suspicious. at the old mylot, i think we felt 'secure' because we always got paid whenever we're qualified, and if we're inactive and didn't want to lose what we've earned so far, we just had to log in once in a while.

No, we don't. I have mentioned the advantages of being a little more open about names, at least, to the owner(s) and he said that it was something worth considering but I rather gather that they prefer to be nameless (and faceless) here, which, of course, is a personal choice which is to be respected and does not in any way mean that they are less honest or open. If that photo says anything at all, it is a clear message saying "We are a bunch of insensitive oiks who don't care a f*** about you and are actually proud enough of it to show you a picture of us all giving you an exceedingly offensive hand signal!"

@owlwings but i wish they at least explained why they stopped paying because it was really a surprise even if it was taking 2 months to reach payout back then.

Well, that explains why he's dropped out of FB and on Twitter all that shows up is his lawyer. I do have to wonder how he thought he could steal someone else's website.

I was able to correctly identify five of them without looking at the names. But they spelled Mike's name wrong. It's Mike Valus, not Balus. Even the publicity people get things wrong. They used to have their photos up on the B site, but no more.

To some degree @marguicha but when a picture such as the one above is all over the net it's unlikely they had the opportunity to fake anything. One of those young men is now being sued for theft.

Yep, they are. In 2012 when arvind founded bubs he was but 25. Then not too long ago jason wrote a post asking for bubers to vote for them in some kind of forbes dilly for people under 30 starting businesses but I'm guessing that didn't go over that well.

I doubt they had a clue, they were showing off for the cameras, you should've seen all the other photos along with this one. At the time they were claiming ownership of sweeble only to find it belonged to someone else, I've heard arvind is being sued. I'd seen pics of Arvind n Jason, but not the rest of the bubbles crew, just figured that others might get a kick outta this pic.

to the British sticking two fingers up like that way is an insult like the US use of the middle finger - don't think that's how they see it in the photo but it makes it very ironically insulting to everyone waiting for money off them
