Tweezers, Wax, Electrolysis or Laser

Yes, ladies I'm talking about hair removal - the dreaded hair removal! We all have it somewhere we don't want it. Getting rid of it temporarily by the use of wax or tweezers is the easier and cheapest way. Electrolysis or laser are more costly but permanent.
I have been watching the commercials for the at home laser products which are not cheap by any means. I was at the beauty shop last week and asked her about that product, how safe is it, etc. I didn't get an answer except for 'Gee, I don't have a clue."
I'll ask you - has anyone used the 'do it yourself' laser and would you recommend it? I am just curious and asking regarding facial hair only. Thanks.

I'm curious myself, I bet we all would love to never have to pluck or perhaps shave our knees again!

You got that right. I am more concerned with that ol'upper lip stuff! I get waxed and a week later its back. I went for electrolysis years ago before we moved south and where I had it done the hair never grew back.. But I didn't start soon enough to be hairless before we moved..

@AbbyGreenhill I do not know if the new ones are better, but I do not think so. I believe that the color of the skin and the hair are important. The best friend of my niece is blonde and for her the laser worked. My niece has a very fair skin, but strong and dark hair.

@LadyDuck I have dark skin (olive, my grandparents were Cajuns) and dark hair (on my head is now gray, but on my legs is dark still)

the hair grew back, that's so wrong..geeze, its supposed to be permanent. Evidentally that was over a year ago - I wonder if the new ones are better. I hate to spend $400 and it not work.

I was and am never much on the shaving thing and i've tried many things at an early age watching my 3 older sisters...Now i just go natural but don't have much hair on my body anyway.
Not worried about facial since i don't have that maybe if i was darker in skin or hair color.

Perhaps the new item will work? Don't know anyone who has used one.

I should work for $400 - or you would think it would for that amount.

They sell them on QVC - I watched the demo a few times. They can't possibly be as strong as the professionals use I would imagine.

At my age I'm wondering if investing $400 is worth it!

I've never tried any of those laser "do it yourself" nor do I know anyone who has.

I need to find an honest review of one of them and we know all reviews aren't honest.
