Anybody heard of the ecoli breakout in a whole bunch of restaurants there are like 40 cases and they have no idea where its coming from and i heard that this is the third time this has happened. Do you believe that they don't know where its comming from? Why the same restaurant 3 different times? Whats your opinion on the big mess?

I hadn't heard about it, but I'm sure they know where it's coming from, they're just not telling the public.

Sometimes its straight from the distributors and handling things improperly really is hard to pin point in mass chains I knew someone who got food poisoning from someone who didn't practice hand washing in a restaurant but by the time they discovered it in the investigation the person was better they never ate at that food chain again.

They might not know where it came from, but, after this, they will have to triple check what they serve. I do not eat out much and prefer to make my own food.

i know nothing about coli but I won't be visiting that restaurant ever. I prefer mom and pop restaurants rather then chains. I wonder if someone unhappy working there might have caused this. It will be interesting to see what is found in the end.

@enlightenedpsych2 I didn't say "I hope"... I was wondering out loud if it was done on purpose - disgusting as that is, it has happened in the past.

@enlightenedpsych2 I do agree if that is the fact, last night they were saying it was e coli and on line today it says they are opening the restaurants but still are talking about a strain of e coli that doesn't kill people, just makes humans sick. The news also said it was contaminated Veggies they were checking. I had no idea veggies could carry e coli.

If it has happened before in the same restaurants then I wouldn't trust them to eat there ever again

They say that it could have come from almost any food item ... lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, meat, etc. It must be hard to figure out. I think they finally just threw out all the food at those restaurants and started over.
