I am very new to this blogging thing so i am trying to get the hang of this. I do have a lot of opinions and thoughts I like to share with others.
This subject that I am going to talk about is a very sensitive one, I am fully aware.
I have never really hid what I do for a living because I am not ashamed, I am very proud of what I do because if it was not for my job and the other that contribute to this industry we wouldnt have vaccines, medical devices, new surgical techniques, antibiotics, just to name a few things.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I welcome challenges but do not go around asking for them.
Now I have noticed among our celebrities that it is becoming a trend to become a PETA member, which is great stand up for what you believe in. I feel that you should know the all the facts before you speak publicly and especially if your a role model to children. I know speaking for myself I like to gather all the facts before stating my opinions.
The one celebrity that really gets under my skin is Pam Anderson. She is always posting stupid protests about not using animals but she is a complete hypocrite herself. I know for a fact that breast implants, the ink in her tattoos( or the components that make it up) were tested on animals. If she chooses to receive vaccines or medicine for her children that was all tested before it can come on the market. It needs to be safe for human consumption or human use.
So, she has benefited from animal research in some way or another. I just cant believe she can stand there and lecture the public on how bad it is. she drives me nuts.

It is really fun how people can complain about such an issue and yet no one can agree to have medicine tested on them to see if they are fit for human beings lol

I love that you just said that! I am a vet tech and I did take an oath on the care of animals. what I do in research is protecting the animals I mkae sure all the proper protocols are being followed and that they are being treated humanly. A lot of the public doesn't realize there are laws we have to follow to conduct research. We cant just pick an animal off the street and do whatever we want to them. The FDA and the USDA makes frequent visits

@Castlerock34 I guess those are the facts people need to know first before talking

@Missmwngi I agree! I wish they could get more informed somewhere about it rather than looking on the PETA websites which are going to show you really bad things that dont even happen in the United States. The U.S is so regulated its crazy. I dont think the public knows that

@Castlerock34 Now that's really interesting. I'm sure there are many people who'd be really interested in what you do.

@boiboing Thank you I think so too. I think what we doing is amazing. we also get to hear from patients who have received our devices and they tell us their stories which is so great to know I have helped to improve someones life

Thank you. I work for a medical device company that tests their pacemakers, leads, stents, urinary incontinence just to name a few. I am heavily against cosmetic research. My grandpa received one of our pacemakers a year ago and he is doing great.

I just decided that if I'm going to eat meat or take advantage of what they provide, I will at least know where it comes from. Other than that, I really don't mind.
