Would you accept a guaranteed, lifetime allowance of $75,000 per year (adjusted annually for inflation) if accepting that money meant that you could never again earn money from either work or investments? Explain ....

i will accept the offer...at least it's a stable income. compare to being in employment and being scared that the company will close down due to the economic crisis.

Yes, I would accept that offer. I would volunteer doing the same thing as I do with my career and take more classes. I couldnt sit around and do nothing all day because that is just not me.

I think it would be wonderful to be able to volunteer my time like that and not have to worry about where the money to take care of my needs is coming from.

That would be fine by me. I would work for charity to keep busy.

Wouldn't it be great to work for charity and not have to worry about your income?

That would be a tough one for me because I like to invest when I have extra money and sell stuff on eBay. I think i would take it though, that's more then I've ever made ina year and I could live very comfortably for the rest of my life on that.

Ahhh. It would be hard to break the investing and ebay habits then, huh? The investing is a habit for me too, but I think I'd rather have the guaranteed income.

Where do I sign up and who do I have to kill for this deal? I'd love to have it. I could live on that without a problem. THat is far more then most will make in a year and I could live without earning any other money. That would be easy enough for me to do.
