Haleem i had in lunch.....

Well i jusd had a nice nutritious lunch and i ate Haleem.Yes Its a sort of stew prepared with meat ,lentils,barley and wheat.Its a very popular dish in middleast ,Pakistan and india.
Me and my family enjoyed it with spices and lemon .
Have you ever tasted it ?You will definately like it give it a try in asian restaurants.

They said Haleem is a dish made of Beef. When I was at Allahabad and then at Hyderabad, I realized that this was a myth. Maybe Haleem is beef in Pakistan and other areas where Beef is allowed, but the one I had was made of Goat Meat minced and stewed with lots of green veggies, dry fruits. I remember having it just during the Eid festivities.
Today, I am ill and cannot have Mutton. Can you tell me if the same can be prepared with Chicken minced meat. I have searched for it on net but could not find a recipe that I could like to try.
