Second chance or more? Or not?

They say that everybody deserves a second chance, but are we willing to give one? Or ask for one or more? Watching Survivor Second Chance (Cambodia), i think about it. Second chances. On my life, i asked for second chances, some are more than just second. I gave second chances too, i forgive and just forget the past. But, there are also situations that i didn't give any more chances, simply burned the bridges. Giving second or more chances can be a case of, it depends. It depends on the person who is asking, or it the reason why the first go. I know some of you will say the same thing, it depends. Any thoughts about giving chances?

If God can forgive 77 times as he said in the bible , why can't we ?

Yep. We don't really count how many chance we can give.

Just because we forgive does not mean we have to give the person a second chance. If I know from experience that someone is dangerous, I can let go of the hate and resentment in my heart, that does not mean I have to give that person a chance to hurt me again.

@norcal forgiving will not always mean giving a second or third or more chances indeed

I do believe in second chances, but sometimes people do things we just can't bring ourselves to forgive. It's nice to see another Survivor fan here, I thought I was the only one. That last tribal council was awesome! The blindside of all blindsides, and done singlehandedly; way to go Wentworth!

@Lucky15 Well, Kass was my favorite, but she got voted out. I haven't really decided yet, maybe Wentworth. She's been an underdog up till now, and that that was a pretty gutsy move that knocked Savage off his high horse. How about you?

i agree with you, it does depend on a lot of things, the situation .. how grave the sin was committed and who committed the mistake

For me, it very much depends on the situation and who it is - some people deserve more chances some don't - no point in proverbially banging ones head against a brick wall.

Yes giving a second chance is necessary. But i dont think it is in the case of terrorists. i am not saying hat they are wrong. What i am saying is that what they are doing is wrong.

I definitely do not want to give a second chance to those terrorists. They should be killed and not given a second chance to hurt people.
