So, what's new?

I am desperately trying to find something to talk about that hasn't been talked about today. Let's see.... * Have you purchased your Thanksgiving Turkey yet? I noticed that the stores didn't have much of a selection a week ago. We really had to hunt down a Turkey Boob. * Are you getting used to it being dark so early? Where we live it's never dark beyond 5:00 pm. That's because we are at the very far western edge of Eastern Time. Another few miles and we'd be in the Central Time Zone. * Do you put a limit on how much you spend per person at Christmas? I do and I stick to it! * Do you ladies in the audience like to go out to dinner? I ask this because I don't know anyone who doesn't - or I didn't know anyone until recently. My husband was talking about a particular restaurant to our neighbor and he said they don't go out to eat because he wife rather cook at home. OK, I like to cook but I also like to go out. * Do you have an electric clock that retains the correct time even when the power goes out? I had one, it died and I'm having a hard time finding a new one. Alright, now on with life..have a good day.

Holy cow, I haven't seen a price like that in many years. Piggly=Wiggy has .89 and I wouldn't buy one there if it was free.

@AbbyGreenhill @AbbyGreenhill Yes PW here is not good, my son worked in their meat department and told me some stories. I do not go there anymore for anything. Yes, that is a very great price. We stock up when we get that kind of price and eat them year round.

I like to cook, but I also like to go out if the restaurant is good. I have not seen turkey in the stores, we do not use to eat turkey in this nation.

I would go out twice a week if we had enough decent restaurants around.

This is so true, some topics do get a lot of exposure here. We all need to go out and lead outrageously interesting lives to have new things to talk about. However, I can honestly say I have not written about any of the above topics, well apart from going out to dinner.

@AbbyGreenhill well, yes, I did miss the point but I can see what you mean. I think people need to get their grieving done though, then move on. But, I've only known that news about two hours and I've read enough.

I guess you didn't get what I meant...I'd rather talk about the those topics than the "B' word.

You came up with a few things to write about without trouble.

@AbbyGreenhill True, once the fingers are flying on the keyboard, I seem to get all kinds of ideas.

@marlina You never know what might or will give you an idea...I can look out the widow and see nothing and all of a sudden an idea pops up.

My daughter & son in law are doing all the cooking for Thanksgiving so the turkey is on them LOL As for Christmas shopping I try to keep within a budget for everyone and stick to it fairly well (give or take a few dollars). And, YES I love to go out to eat
