Yesterday I went to the supermarket. At the bakery I came across a delicious looking fugazza. A fugazza is a kind of dough topped with fried onion. The dough is very similar to that of a thick pizza. I had to bring it home. Today, as I came home from my daughter´s home I started to see what I could eat. I had eaten a late lunch, but that had happened some hourse ago. I saw the fugazza, checked and found cheese in the fridge and I started cutting it up to make a pizza of sorts. I added some dry oregano over the cheese and placed it in the oven. I´m sorry for you that you cannot smell the delicious aroma! I ate it all in a second and I will not make another piece only because I´m dieting. What are you having for diner? Or maybe you already ate?

@LadyDuck I read it at the wikipedia after you taught me the real name and it says that sometimes it is topped with onion and chesse. In my country, the name was twisted and they cook it with onion. I added the cheese.

We call it focaccia in Italy Alfredo, but our focaccia only has oil and salt on top.

@marguicha Well in France they call it "fougasse", so I believe that every country has a twisted name for the same thing.

And very unexpensive too. I bought the dough already cooked with a delicous smell of onions ans italian spices. I could have made it still more elaborate, but cheese and dry oregano is more than enough.
