What names have you been called?

Have you been called names? Cruel names? Endearing names? Called names in anger? Had names whispered in your ear when being made love to?
It seems human beings have to categorize everyone and everything and I started thinking of all the names that have been put on me over the years and here are some of them (in no particular order or time):
American (was never hyphenated with Russian or English!) ---Gay----Male
White--Butch--Trade--Jewish--Jew--Loner--Hustler--Lover--Trick--Writer--
Waiter-- Pussycat--Liberal--Romantic--Journalist--Evil--Pig--Smoker--Fat--
Tramp--Liar--Conceited--Egotist--Smart--Compulsive--Extremist--List Maker--
Movie/Theatre Queen--Impulsive--Lazy--Single--Excessive--Easygoing--
Tyrannical--Sun worshipper--Young--Old--Good-looking--Handsome--Hunky--
Bear--Tourist--Native--Giver-Taker--Critic--Marine--Dishonorable--Honest--
Caring--Punctual--Night person--Alcoholic--Bleeding Heart--Cold--Disturbed--
Possessive--Stubborn--Kind--Cold--Queer--the "F" word
And the list goes on--and most of them are not one time things--seems people see you the way they want to and you are different people at different times in your life.
What are YOUR names, labels, tags? Not how you name yourself but others have named you. Why do you think we have to label each other?
How do you feel about people being defined with various names?

I was overweight as a child and was called fat a lot. Kids can really be cruel at times. When I was a teenager, I was a 'good girl' and never got into any trouble, etc. Some of the kids would call me goody two shoes. At the time it hurt my feelings but as I got older, I was proud of it.

Calling me names only made me stronger to fight the homophobia and bigotry I faced and now I can laugh at those dumb people who are still around today and hide behind religion!!

It's a reminder that we are never just who we think we are. We will always mean different things to the various people in our life. The main thing, I think,is to recognize that while these labels don't define us, they may go some way to defining our relationship with others.

we can take on or cast off names and labels much of the time though some names imposed by bullies can hurt deeply

I have been called many things as well but not too many were hurtful. The one I hate the most is stupid, this is a terrible thing to say to a child.

i remember someone spreading rumors about me in high school that had a few people calling me "easy" and i was still a virgin. Really ticked me off & really hurt my reputation for awhile. Thankfully, it was people from another town & not so much my own that believed it. Never understand people and their lies. Other names that I did "deserve" (i.e. were true, but maybe cruel) often had to do with being well-endowed & that's the sort of thing junior high boys tend to zone in on in their teasing. thankfully, i was also very smart & was called Brain and brainiac. And i was party-girl and fun-jill and good stuff too. But it's hard to shake the negative feelings from the negative names.
