My New Shed, It Wasn't a Crisis

The little car was on the driveway where I wanted the new shed, but it was no problem after all. The delivery man could park beside the driveway. He had a tilt bed truck and lowered the shed off that way.
From there he used this little mobilized machine with load forks and braces to move the shed to EXACTLY where I wanted it. He made the work look easy. The machine is called a "mule".
The utilities have not yet been marked, so he was not able to put in the anchors, but he did level it. I am very pleased. Sometime when all the utilities are marked they will drop in and put anchors two feet into the ground to hold it tight.
The company is called Sturdibilt, and I can highly recommend them if you need an outbuilding..

"sneaks off to steal/borrow your shed"..hahah
What a nice company to do as much as they did do..some would just plop it anywhere and make you do the rest with no caring bone in their body..
have fun with your new shed..i brought it back..hahah

My son had purchased a shed from them in the past, and then also paid them when he needed to move it. It is "rent to own" so they take really good care to install them well.

No, I actually am going to have sewing and crafting items and projects in here, with a lock on the door to keep hubby from putting "stuff" in it. I will have to run a cord if I want to use any machines out there, but that is no problem. Our garden and car stuff goes in this other shed, which is roughly six times as big.

@GardenGerty Oh what a wonderful idea. Your own craft room. I wish I had room for one .... all my knitting and cross stitch things are in my room or the wardrobe.

This one will have a lock on the door, and it is in place up even with the house. I know even small towns can have security issues, but I do not think we will have a problem.

These sheds are considered "portable". They are built on skids of pressure treated wood. It has a floor that is seven inches off the ground. It could be put on a foundation, but I wanted this type.

They can build on site, but I think most of their business is the pre assembled kind. We have bought other kinds in the past that cost as much or more and I like this one much better.

They get the utilities to mark their lines then they set anchors three feet into the ground to keep it from blowing away.

I was so pleased with how this went. They send out one person and with the "mule" that one person can manage it all.

Yes, it is convenient to the house and looks good as well. The driveway it is on is a good base for it.

Where we lived before the highschool class built a house each year on a construction trailer and it was sold and put on foundations where the buyer wanted it. If they purchased the house at the beginning of the year they could choose floor plan and materials, within reason and colors, etc. The students were gaining building trades experience and knowledge.

@GardenGerty That is so important. Looks like you will need to run around town now singing the praises of this company and what a great job they did.

Our big shed is kind of that way. You are selling your house and moving, though, aren't you?

It's amazing how efficient a smart machine and a clever driver can be. I've seen them get things in the most tight places.
