Yes, I got sidetracked again. What else is new when you start reading and commenting here on Mylot?
First, I was going to write one short discussion. But then I started to check some notifications and read and commented on a few topics, first thing I know I was all over the place again.
I have to start focusing more again. I don't like when I lose control of my time here.
Here comes the timer to my rescue!

Occasionally I try to write something to post later. But then things go horribly wrong. I wrote an (as yet unposted) piece about why the Iranian leader wouldn't go to Paris and then the same day the ISIS attacks happened and my whole thing was suddenly absolutely unpostable.

I do that alot too. But i try to do my notifications first then i respond to everyone's post that has written one. Then if I have time I will explore and look for new users that posted.

Relate. On my way home, when I had a lot of time to think, I decided that I would post about something I learned today. Then I commented on one discussion and on another discussion, replied to a comment on mine and now it's near sleeping time and I have yet to write my own post.

I can totally empathize with you, I have a tendency to veer off track. Though I must admit I get to many places that I enjoy visiting this way. So I think that I will stick to serendipitous way of doing things because it is working well for me lol...

I decided to sit here for a minute before I started doing the things that needed to get done. I"m still here and I've accomplished nothing. I need a timer too

Good idea to have a timer. I tend to jump back and forth on sites.

I tend to get sidetracked a lot on here too, I see a comment and I comment then I read and well you know....

I do things here in cycles. I am OCD about it. I do explore and comment on at least 1 no response and 1 newbie, and then hit people and read and comment on everything new there (read all comment on 99.9%) and then go clean up notifications

I was going 100 in a 25 mile zone here earlier so I had to slow down and go do the dishes to clear my brain.
