Real or Fake?

No, I'm not asking about Boobs...I wouldn't be that impolite!
I am curious as to whether you use a real or an artificial Christmas tree. I watched a segment on TV this morning which is how this topic came to be. A local Christmas tree farmer says most artificial trees come from China so everyone should buy a real tree grown here in the USA.
I think many of us had real trees in our living rooms when we were kids. But real trees do make a mess they can be a fire hazard. You don't have to water an artificial tree or clean up a bunch of pine needles from the floor.
Of course you don't get that pine smell but that can be remedied by putting some pine branches in a vase of water and you will have a nice pine aroma. I will forgo the pine smell for less mess. What about you - real or fake?

LOL - surgically smaller...
Years ago first marriage we bought a live tree but we lived in an apartment so it wound up being planted in my inlaws yard.

A fake tree. My daughter and so inlaw had a real tree for years. They would both spend at least a week sick around Christmas. It seems they were both allergic to the tree.

Allergic to real tree? Wow, I guess they don't go in the woods then.

@AbbyGreenhill they avoid getting close to pine trees. Short term exposure doesn't seem to be a problem, but the hives if the tree should rub against them.

Fake!! having a real tree isn't practical for me. I got a beautiful one on QVC a few years ago and it looks as new now as it did the day it was delivered. I'm also a white light person rather than multi-colored lights on my tree

We got one on QVC last year - prelit - milti and white lights and a zillion other settings. It wasn't cheap but it will probably be the last one we have to buy.

We had a fake tree years ago that dropped more fake pine needles than we could count.

We usually use an artificial tree. We did use a real tree one year, and oh boy was that a mess! We were still using carpeted flooring instead of the hardwood flooring, so that made it even better lol. XD So I think now we just stick to an artificial tree, and I assume we're gonna do the same this year.

I like fake trees better because they are less messy and you can use them every year. It saves money through the years and I get a pine smelling spray that smells like the real thing. =)

When we got the new ones last year I listed the old one on Facebook yard sale group for $10 and it went to a newly married couple for their first Christmas...and it didn't land in the landfill!

I guess that spray is a hot selling item. I think I'll skip the spray since most smells bother me too much.
