How Do I Follow Someone On MyLot?

I see the "follow" tab when I go to someone's site, but when I click on that, it turns to a red "unfollow" and then back to blue "follow." so how do I know if I am actually following someone at that point?
I tried to find the answer about following but have been unable to find anything on the subject. Where do I look?

It's an ON and OFF function, once you press it, you are following them - press it again to unfollow. When it says unfollow, you are following them.

I thought that might be the way it works but I wasn't sure. So, my next activity will be going back to "follow" everyone. Thanks for the input.
