I crocheted an elephant snuggle for my little girl last year, so she could hold it while she was sleeping. She didn't sleep well always. I didn't make for my son, as I thought it's something for baby.
Recently, my elder son kept asking me to make another one for him. So now, I have to make another one for my son. Hope I will be able to finish it in these few days, so I can prepare some Christmas gifts for them.
I always wish I do not need to make something twice, and the two children can play with the toys I make together. But, they always want to have theirs.

@wiLLmaH It's actually quite small, just slightly larger than a handkerchief size. Some even crochet a blanket, but I don't think I will do that.
I don't remember how long it took me to finish that, because I didn't just work on it non-stop. If I just keep working on this, I believe it can be done in one day.

@kaka135 Even so, props to you! I wouldn't be able to follow pattern's instructions even if I tried. Maybe with guidance, I could but I have tried basic hair tutorials and I can't even follow those let alone use yarn, hehe. I can't get over how cute the snuggle is!

@infatuatedbby It's really just a matter of practice. I always thought crocheting is very complicated, and I just couldn't get it, though I have tried to make a few very simple things, such as flowers and eggs, I just gave up learning as I just couldn't get it right. Until a time when I was "forced" to learn - I was knitting a doll for my little girl for her birthday. The doll was almost done, except the hair. According to the pattern, I need to crochet the hair. I tried more than three times to make the hair, and finally got it, though not perfectly. Due to the experience, at least I gained better understanding of crocheting, and slowly I get addicted to it too.
I used to just knit some toys for my children, but found that crocheting can make more small and simple toys, that's how I got addicted.
If you want to learn crocheting, there are many great tutorials online, for free. I am not expert, but at least can make a few toys for the children, and I am happy enough.

That is adorable and I am sure it is just what your little girl needs to snuggle with.
