I've been randomly going through some of the MyLot offers and i've gotta say that not one really applies to me or is at all appealing. The one thing I have come to hate, which seems to be in the majority of them, is the mandatory entry of your phone number. I do not like this. It's bad enough that once I put in my e-mail address, there's a good chance that spam will follow. I don't want that to possibly happen with my phone number. Am I being too overly concerned about this? Too paranoid? Are there any good ones? Most seem to be mostly for females, hygiene and house supplies. Wheres the offers strictly for men? Are socks the only item designated for men? I'm sure some of you have found one or a few that have been to your liking. I hope that some day I do also.

Once in a great while I'll find one I can do. As far as spam email, I set up what I call a black hole email account. It's a legitimate address, but I never check it.

@Plethos Yes, because I would buy a chainsaw off the internet that I have not inspected, tested and made sure I could handle and use it without a problem!

the offers do seem to be mostly introductory deals in a contract for us to spend more of our money and I too wouldn't want further spam by phone or e-mail so I avoid them - they are a popular income generator for mylot though

I buy for a household, so some of the ones you see as for women only are for households, so I could do them, IF I hadn't already done those same ones for another site. You can't double-dip or you can cause problems for yourself. I give them an alias email account and a disposable phone number. When either begin to get too much crap sent to them, I throw them away and give the next ones different/new alias accounts. If you have an account through MSN, I can explain how to easily set up alias email accounts that can be discarded in a few seconds.

Once you give them your phone number, they'd keep calling!

That's why you set up disposable phone numbers! A disposable phone number is an app you download. You pick (or get assigned) a phone number that rings on your phone, but can be discarded should the need arise. Pretend for a second you join a dating site. (We are only pretending, remember?) You meet someone you think you would like to get to know better, so you give her a disposable phone number. If you do like her and everything is fine, GREAT! If it turns out she is a nutjob, you dump the phone number you gave her and the app will give you a new one for the next person to use. You can do the same thing with those Offers, @Plethos !
