I finally converted to Windows 10 - so far, so good

A few days ago I decided to finally change over from Win7 to Win10. I had wanted to wait for any Win10 bugs to be worked out, and to be sure the programs I depend on would continue working. After checking online, I saw no major complaints, so I went ahead.
Win10 did a good job of picking up all my setups and preferences from Win7. The only thing I didn't like was that changed my default browser to Microsoft Edge. Other than that, everything remained as I had set it up.
Now, I just have to get used to a different "look" and see what Win10 can do better than Win7. Based on what I've seen so far, I certainly wouldn't pay to upgrade to Win10, but since it's free, I'm satisfied.

I put windows 10 on, suring the summer, and I really like it compared to windows 8. I haven't had any crashes or anything like that. I like it too, and more than likely, I wouldn't have bought it either to upgrade. I am certainly happy with it, beings that is is free.

I stayed away from Win8 - it was just too different. Microsoft came back to their senses with Win10.

@RonElFran Yes they certainly did. I didn't like windows 7 or 8, so having 10, I feel like I have a good windows version. I am glad that I downloaded it too, as I have been enjoying it so far.

I would have been perfectly happy to stay with Win7. But, having been through Microsoft withdrawing support for WinXP, I realized that Win7 would eventually lose support as well. One great thing about Win10 (I hope it turns out great) is that it is continually and automatically updated and, as I understand it, will never lose support.

A month after I changed to Windows 10 it crashed. It had to be re-imported and it was just the time I hoped to write frequently and get to the goal. My husband fixed it up again, he works with computers and even he found it a very irritating job. He told me that this happens sometimes to some people. His installation has not backfired, so maybe you will be lucky too. I missed my goal.

Wow, @41CombedaleRoad, how frustrating that must have been. I hope whatever caused your crash has been fixed in Win10, and won't affect any of us going forward.

I have win 8.1 and so far I see no reason to change to 10. I actually like 7 better.

I felt like I was just getting used to Window 8.1 when I got the notice from Microsoft that I would be getting Windows 10 soon. I am always one that wants to keep up with the Microsoft Windows whatever it is. I have had issues in the past because I was behind on my PC. Windows 10 is doing fine for me and I couldn't be happier so far.
