I'm a big bundle of stress! I'm sitting here drinking Sleepytime tea. I've heard that it (being chamomile) is supposed to help you relax so you can rest. The smell was enticing. Sort of minty when first brewed. It doesn't taste as good as it smells though. I wonder if it will do me any good drinking it. I'm a big ball of stress and I'm ready to try about anything. I wish I could take a good old fashioned sleeping pill, but then probalby woudln't get up to get my son to school in the morning. Do you drink Sleepytime Tea? If so does it help you relax? What do you do to help you relax and sleep better?

I am afraid it never worked for me. I always have problems sleeping. I hope the stress eases up for you soon.

@nonersays I actually got a prescription for sleeping pills a few months ago. They worked fine for a few weeks but then they stopped working. It drives me nuts. Sleep deprivation really wears on your body and leads to lots of physical ailments.

@Shellyann36 I Know! And people who don't have problems sleeping just dont get it. For a while when my little one was growing his first teeth, between my trouble sleeping and him waking up every time I did fall asleep I was getting maybe 2 hours of broken sleep a night. I was hallucinating things. It was crazy.

If I remember right (Cause I'm too lazy to get up and go look at the box) the Sleepytime Tea is made by Celestial Seasonings. Its just what they call their chamomile tea.

@nonersays Ah okay. I have another brand at home, not sure if Sleepytime Tea is available in the stores here. I'll look for it next time.

@nonersays Looked it up online. Chamomile, spearmint and lemongrass. They have a "tension tamer" tea as well.

I have drunk Sleepytime tea, but I am more likely to take Cal Mag Zinc, two tylenol, and a hot bath with epsom salts and lavender. What has messed up your nerves?

My job. Its always stressful this time of year, but getting worse since we are under new management (well he's been there almost a year but its his first Christmas) and between him and my DM I have had enough thinly veiled threats that I'm going to lose my job to last me until the NEXT holiday season. Every time I think about work my right eye starts twitching and won't stop. Its horrible.

After drinkingit last night I think I can say I don't like it either. I'll drink it a few more times though, because I have it and maybe it takes more than one cup to work. I'll just treat it like medicine.

Did your Sleepytime tea work? Sometimes I drink peppermint tea when I'm stressed

I don't think its working! Next time I might pair it with a hot bath instead of internet time. Maybe that'll help more. I just wish it tasted more like it smelled.

I'm usually a coffee drinker. Or hot chocolate. I prefer my tea iced and sweet. We don't get a lot of cold and tea snuggly nights around here.
