Persistence

There's an old saying that goes like this: "A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence." We don't always have to use sheer power to get us through situations in life; more so, don't feel that because you are powerless, small, weak, feeble or timid that you can't accomplish great things in life. Persistence will help you achieve! Just keep trying your best, day in and day out, and eventually you will see the payouts and rewards for your efforts. In essence, never give up! Just as a river is able to cut through solid rock over periods of thousands of years, you too can cut through the "rocks" in your life! With persistence, what can you accomplish?

@moffittjc I've never heard that saying before. But I really like it! I think if I really put my mind into it, and have a lot of motivation, I can accomplish much. It can be quite hard a majority of the time though due to depression. Most people confuse depression with laziness. But when the mood strikes, I can go all tasmanian devil and do things fast.....without wrecking things along the way though.....ok maybe Tassie was a bad example....

I take that attitude to housekeeping. A little bit at a time, every day, at minutes during the day. Can't say I have a spotless house even now, but at least all anyone can say is that I need a house cleaner, not a dozer.

I don't think I can ever catch up on my myLot notifications! Especially now that I am back at work! It was all I could do to keep up when I was laid up at home recovering from my surgery!

I also remember the old Latin saying "gutta cavat lapidem" (the drop hollows the stone). This can be positive or negative, tell something to someone every day and they will believe... brainwashing.
