Leeches, they love your blood

If you have ever been to my native region, foothill plains near Darjeeling, India, you must have seen a particular kind of leeches found in damp grasses and bushes. They can smell human blood and rush to attack. If one of them attaches itself to your body you are sure to lose some blood unaware. Sooner you see the bloodsucker the better for you. They can't kill you but the wound would itch for days.

medics are actually starting to use them in treatment again - not sure if I want one on me though
