Have you ever come across money notes that have been ripped or torn apart? If so would it be okay to use it still if we were to just tape it back up with some sellotape?
As long as the queen area (in British pound notes) is visible and intact I am sure it is still usable right?
I was just wondering in case I come across one that is torn up or in pieces!

@Mike197602 LOL I never knew that either, so hope it works when you try and go and get replacement from the bank.

You know those self service tills in supermarkets??...i put a £10 note in and it wouldnt seem to take it so i went to pull it out again and then it decided to try to take it at the same time as i was pulling it out.
ripped a strip off the side.
ive had it in my wallet for the past year as i dont know what to do with it
think i will try and tape it up and see if the till willtakeit like that.
ive no clue what the actual rules are.

lots of torn bills believe me if you are living in a hot humid tropical country like mine where the only seasons are wet and dry seasons. We just bring them to the bank but expect a little frown from the teller, i do not know but it's like extra work for them
Perhaps they should change it to plastic.

In the US there are rules about how much of the bill has to be in tact but with all the pieces I think it can even be taped back together.

Our grand-dog ate part of a $5.00 bill, I took it to the bank and they replaced it.

If you try and lose then it isn't your fault. But if you don't try and we lose, then it's all your fault.
