I'm not Ms Scrooge, I enjoy the holidays as much as anyone else. I just can't stand Christmas trees. I tolerate them at other people's homes, of course, but I really don't like to be around them. The past 3-4 years I have been making a "Christmas shrine", a table decorated with presents, etc, things that usually go on and under a tree. This year I want something different, so looking for Christmas tree alternatives. Am I Christmas tree phobic or do I have an undiagnosed unexplained aversion to tall green leafy things?

I have put up a tree for many years now. This year I wanted something easy and simple. But I couldn't find one. So I wound up putting up the fiber optic tree I got last year. I am tired of all the work. I found one online a week ago that folds up and is already lined with lights. No branches. It is a metal frame. I like it, simple and easy. But what I am really looking for is a holographic image of a christmas tree. I would love nothing more than to press a button and see a 3D image of a tree in my living room. They are not easy to find.
