Have you ever riden a moped?

I just saw a post by someone that mentioned mopeds, and it reminded me how much I enjoyed riding them during a trip to Europe some years back. A friend and I were touring the continent as backpackers. Mostly that meant our transportation was either a train or our feet. But on the Greek island of Corfu we rented mopeds in order to explore the island. It was great! Although I had (and have) never ridden a motorcycle, I had no trouble at all with those mopeds. They were fast enough to take me wherever I wanted to go on a day trip, but not so fast or powerful as to be difficult to control. I still have no desire to ride a motorcycle. But now that I've been reminded of that experience, I'd love to do some mopeding again.

I was about to try and explain this 'appliance' and I see @celticeagle has already done it for me - a pole with two wheels. They looked a lot of fun and were quite fast.

No, never did ride a moped, always found them too dangerous.

I have never driven a motorcycle although I have ridden on one. What are those things you get on and it moves by your movements? That is what I would like to try. Basically a pole with two wheels.

I've never had an occasion to ride a moped but I was tempted years ago when I was in Bermuda. However I chickened out as I was afraid I'd fall off and get hurt

They look safer than motorcycles. I've never been on one.

I had a Honda 50 when I was in my early 20s. It was a cheap form of transportation and in those days you could ride as a learner forever so I never even took a test.
