This is a photo of my oldest brother when he was just a little baby. Check out the CAR. This picture was taken over 80 years ago. YES!
We should have kept all those old toys we had back then. Who knows where they are today. Now, things like that car would be very valuable.
I was telling my children that we should do a time capsule, like Andy Warhol used to do. Save things that might become valuable years from now. Have you ever read about Andy Warhol's collection of things? Amazing.
All I have is a FEW old things. Not much and that is a shame. I surely wish that I had some of the things that I grew up with.
Do you have some old things that you have saved over the years?

I have a few things that were my grandparents, but none of the toys and such I had as a kid. I do however have a baseball mitt that was mine when I was a kid, so it's about 42 years old and in pretty good shape.

That's good. I'm sure you treasure those items from your grandparents. I have a quilt that my grandmother made many years ago.

@fishtiger58 Quilts just aren't made like they used to be made. I have seen some at County and State Fairs. There is just nothing like a nice warm quilt. I don't use the one my grandmother made and I'm so afraid that it will deteriorate over time, but so far, it still looks to be in good shape.

I have a closet full of things that my mother saved from her grandmother, and other things that my aunt left me. Suitcases full of old letters from people I never knew, or knew very little about. Old, old medals that my grandfather had in the Army, etc. All those things that I just cannot bring myself to start plowing through. Most of it doesn't have any meaning to anyone, and my mother threw away much of it already. Not enough, I wager. Oh, and pictures, pictures and more pictures that no one ever looks at.

IF they have no sentimental value for anyone in your family, perhaps a collector would be interested. You never know that something you have MIGHT BE very valuable to someone else.
