Its raining!! It started this afternoon with a short Storm and then eased itself into a typical English wet afternoon - softly falling and gloomy grey skies - LET ME TELL YOU A SECRET . . . . I AM LOVING IT!!! rain glorious rain - I give thanks!!

I can accept references such as storm or torrential downpour, but a typical English afternoon is exaggerating too much.

it was predicted to be a short shower this afternoon, but it has lingered into a cool air 23*C evening - I am delighted, the 40*C was killing me, my cats were lying on wet towels and i was getting wrinkled crinckled in the pool - easy ageing process
