Some of you might know I am making some small Christmas gifts for my children and I plan to make one everyday till Christmas, but I couldn't make it. After crocheting two stars, I made another two gingerbread house tags for the children. And now, here comes the third gifts.
I have just finished crocheting two pairs of mini booties for my children. It took me quite some time to finish this, but it's a fun pattern to work on. I think they are cute and I bet my children will love them.
I crocheted two straps for them too, so they can hang them on the Christmas tree or make the garland. They can also put them on their dolls. I haven't try whether the booties can fit the doll's feet, I will let the children try it out.
It'd be nicer if I can give these booties to the children on St. Nicholas Day. Though it was too late for that, I think the children will still enjoy playing with these tiny gifts.
I followed this free pattern, so if you are interested in crocheting these booties, you can visit this site:

@wiLLmaH It's so good that you have this subject in school. Not many people in my country know knitting and crocheting, and some children don't even know what a knitting needle or crochet hook is. They know about the yarn because they read some books that cats like to play with yarn. Well, I also only learned crocheting last year.
Not that you are selfish, it's just that my purpose of learning crocheting is to make toys for my children.

I used to do a lot of crocheting when my children were little. Maybe when I have grandchildren I would consider doing this patter, but possibly my hands won't like me if I did as they are sore enough as is.
They are cute though, but I'd think you'd want to try them on a doll now and then adjust the pattern for future booties if needed.

My children are the motivation for me to learn crocheting and knitting as well.
Is it because you are holding the crochet hook too tight that caused your hands sore? My fingers and wrist used to be painful, but I think I am okay now without knowing why.
The booties can fit the doll's feet, but my children are busy wearing them on their toes.

My BFF likes to crochet. She is really very good at it. She actually sells some of her work and makes quite a nice sum at it. It nice to do something you enjoy.
