As many of you know I like playing around with my cameras. I am an amateur but not a photographer. I think to be a photographer you have to understand your camera. I don't understand much about any of my cameras. But I do love to play around with them.
On my Panasonic Lumix camera there is a very cool setting called Starry Sky.It lets you pick a shutter speed of 15, 30 or 60 seconds. I took this photo of a ferris wheel a few years ago and my memory not being what it used to be I can't remember what speed I selected but I think this photo turned out pretty cool.
I know some of you have seen this photo but I wanted to share it here.

I always thought a photographer (amateur or pro) was someone who enjoyed taking pictures, I've never really understood my cameras but I did have a few happy accidents which I thought passed me as an amateur photographer. I've seen other works you've shared and I'd say you're in that same class.

@rebelann Oh yea, I don't tell my husband what to do and he doesn't tell me what to do. We had enough of that mess while in the working world.

Cool picture! I like taking pictures randomly, but I haven't lately though! I am a newbie still with my Canon t3i.

@fishtiger58 I'm no pro either. I just play around with it. If I did it as a job, I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much.
